There are several types of nozzles. There are spray nozzles (for liquid or gas), blowing nozzles, misting nozzles or cleaning nozzles. The injection nozzle is a mechanical part whose function is to inject air, gas, fluid or liquid homogeneously into a chamber.
In automotive engines and similar applications, the amount of fluid injected through a mechanical injection nozzle is controlled by a butterfly valve. In some engines, the injection rate is adjusted by electronically setting the diameter of the opening neck.
We offer two types of injection nozzles as standard in our catalog: the SSPRUE Bushing injection nozzle (part number 619) and the SPRUE Bushing injection nozzle (part number 649).
The SSPRUE Bushing injection nozzle is available in various lengths between 55 and 125 mm, with a single 40 mm diameter base and 20 mm diameter body and a nozzle outlet diameter of 3 or 4 mm. On this model of injection nozzle, the taper is 5%.
The second model, the SPRUE Bushing, offers more variations as standard, with a base diameter of 28 to 50 mm, a base thickness of 12 to 28 mm, a body diameter of 12 to 25 mm, and a length of 25 to 100 mm. For the injection part, the outlet diameter of the injection nozzle varies from 3 to 5.5 mm, with a slope of 1'30.

The choice of an injection nozzle adapted to the device on which you are going to install it takes into account various important parameters such as the volumetric flow rate and the jet angle, both determined by the inlet pressure and the nature of the fluid. The jet force and the jet spectrum are other essential parameters that determine the quality of the injection distribution.
Rabourdin injection nozzles are made of stainless steel. This material offers a high resistance to mechanical constraints and is perfectly adapted to resist corrosion.
