Major mechanical advantages
Under the effect of the rotation, a cushion of oil is formed, creating a hydrodynamic film which ensures the lubrication of the bearing.
Evenly distributed over the entire surface, the lubricant reduces friction, even when the bearing's anti-friction layer begins to wear. A "running-in" surface is also incorporated on the top edge of the antifriction layer to ensure a low coefficient of friction, from the beginning of the application and even before the lubricant covers the bearing surface.
Self-lubricating bushings thus have the advantage of operating without additional grease and without the need for subsequent intervention.
The sliding is done in hydrodynamic mode, with a very low friction coefficient.
